On May 22, 2024, the Chairman of the Russian-Vietnamese Guild of Commerce A. Karpov took part in the conference: “Vietnam in a Multipolar World: Approaches, Challenges and Prospects”, an event organized as a part of the IX Vietnam Day at MGIMO, presenting a speech on the topic of “Russian-Vietnamese Relations in the Modern Day: Challenges and Opportunities”. The conference participants discussed the prospects of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Vietnam, as well as interactions in the field of culture and education between the two countries.
During the conference, the following speakers took the floor: the Director of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation N.V. Kondratiev, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam G.S. Bezdetko, the Head of the Center for Vietnam and ASEAN Studies of the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.M. Mazyrin, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh Institute, Head of the Department of History of the Far East Countries of St. Petersburg State University V.N. Kolotov.
