The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko: Russia is committed to developing trade, economic, scientific and technological cooperation with Vietnam.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Hong Ha co-chaired the 25th meeting of the Russian-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations with Vietnam and of maintaining regular contact at a high level.

“The previous meeting of the Russian-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held slightly more than a year ago, but our countries have taken active steps since then in order to further strengthen our bilateral cooperation. The first visit that the Russian President V.V. Putin made to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in many years gave fresh impetus to the development of bilateral ties, which is evident from the large package of documents and agreements signed during it,” Dmitry Chernyshenko noted.
In turn, the Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Tran Hong Ha shared that the Russian-Vietnamese relations are actively developing and also took note of the contribution of Moscow towards restoration and development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

“Our relations with the Russian Federation are of special nature. They have reached the level of strategic partnership and are developing in a challenging international context,” as noted by the Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam.

At the end of the meeting, the protocol was subsequently signed and the parties have agreed to hold the next meeting in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2025.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko has also presented the General Director of Biendong Petroleum Operating Company Ngo Huu Hai (from 2018 to 2023) with the Order of Friendship.
